Tours:  Friday, Saturday, Sunday 1:00-400.
Research Room:  Tuesday, 10:00-2:00, Thursday and Saturday 1:00-4:00


Directions:

The Dawes House is located at 225 Greenwood, Evanston, IL 60201, only 1/2-hour north of Chicago's Loop, and is accessible by public transportation. Free parking is available on the street.

Car: Take either 94 or 294 to Dempster Street and go east. Greenwood Street is one block north of Dempster Street

Train: Take CTA to Dempster Street or Metra to Davis Street, and go east. (Davis Street is a few blocks north of Greenwood. See map.)

To assist you in making a trip via public transportation, here is a link to the Regional Transportation Authority's online trip planner-- Enter your start and end locations, and it will plan a route for you. Includes CTA, Metra, and Pace vehicles.



Accessibility:
Most of the Dawes House is accessible to wheelchairs. Docents will be happy to share information about rooms that are not accessible. A limited number of wheelchairs are available on a first-come, first-served basis at no charge.
